Blessing Bear

Ken was a blessing to us when he first joined our Community. He made the trip early on from Houston to Chicago in 1991 and hit the ground running. Ken held the energy of the wise Elder with humility and wit.
He was among the first in MKP to recognize the importance of having Elders actively engaged with the Leader team and was instrumental in demanding “space” for the Elder on the weekends. In 2004, Ken led a team of MKP elders that created the 7 Step Elder Journey.
He mentored the next generation of Elders in the Community and shared freely his heart, while willing to wield his sword when appropriate. Ken’s sudden death was a loss for us all and he has been deeply missed.
